In May, prior to meeting with PGA National Leisure Sales Manager, Leslie Ireland, I had the pleasure of spending one night in a standard double room like those our golf group customers would use for their trips.The view and room are certainly anything but “standard”. In a word, the resort hotel adjacent to the 90 holes of championship golf courses, is “spectacular” in both service and appearance!Nevermind, the resort also just underwent a $40 Million dollar renovation and is on par (pun intended) with some of the best golf resorts in the world.  Read more...

At a former company, I would write a quarterly column entitled the “View from the Room.” Each quarter, I’d snap a photo from a hotel at some resort location and then write an article about why our clients should travel to that location for their next vacation.Continuing that tradition here at Fairways and GolfThere.com, I’ve written a few articles for our website and quarterly publication.However, when I was asked to do an article about the Natural State Golf Trail of Arkansas, I had to chuckle as I thought of a very good friend who started this idea, right there in Little Rock.  Read more...
