The Wetlands Golf Course:  The 18-hole "Wetlands" course at the Wetlands Golf Course facility in Lafayette, Louisiana features all the hallmarks of Louisiana golf. Designed by Frank Burandt, the Wetlands golf course opened in 2006 and is now a part of the Audubon Golf Trail.

 

 

Gray Plantation Golf Course:  Golf Digest honored Gray Plantation as one of America's Greatest 100 Public Courses in 2005. Architect Rocky Roquemore's Calcasieu River course takes full advantage of the area's natural surroundings with 60 acres of lakes coming into play on 12 holes, 94 bunkers and moss-draped pines at almost every turn.

 

 

The Island Country Club:  Sweet. How else do you describe a championship course carved out of a sugar plantation? As a matter of fact, sugar cane still grows in the field next to The Island. Recently featured on the Golf Channel and in Golf Magazine, this 160-acre course features nine man-made lakes, and water comes into play on 17 of the 18 holes.
