Headfort Old Course
Headfort was established in the mid 1920's but was not extended to a full 18-hole course until 1956. Headfort's Old Course is one of the finest parkland-style courses in Ireland and comes with an interesting history.
Originally taken care of by a veterinarian and his horse, the greens at the Old course at Headfort were immaculate from the beginning. In 1987 the members of the club bought the course outright and since then it has made magnificent strides. The club gained more land over the years and has now been expanded to the River Blackwater and a collection of Asiatic trees decorate the course.
