Kiawah Island - Ocean Course
Ranked 25th in Golf Digest's "100 Greatest US Golf Courses", the Ocean Course at Kiawah is one for pro's and beginners. The wind is a large factor in the way this course plays on a day to day basis. It affects the course so much a player can experience an 8-club difference on holes depending on the weather that day. To accommodated the ever-changing wind, Pete Dye built two courses in one; one for the easterly wind and one for westerly. The Ocean course also boasts more views of the sea than any course in the Northern hemisphere. Dye built the course to sit above the dunes to allow for a full, ocean view. While the view is fantastic, the game is made much harder by being exposed to the changing sea breeze. Kiawah Island Resort is the site of the 2012 PGA Championship, so book today and play where the pros will play!
