The Greg Norman designed course at Lansdowne is breathtaking, utilizing the natural variation of topography provided by the Potomac River Valley. The front nine holes run along the east side of the Potomac River, while the back nine comes west along Goose Creek. Norman’s “least disturbance approach” is clearly seen at this Lansdowne course. He effectively incorporates the natural changes of the land which enhances the playability and beauty of the course. The Norman Course is challenging but made easier for average golfers with its multiple tee settings.
